On the 16th of September, the Fundamental Rights Platform will be conducting a webinar on the involvement of civil society in the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE). Together with the Conference Secretariat, members of the Steering Committee for the Civil Society Convention on the Future of Europe— , Alexandrina Najmowicz (ECF) and Patrizia Heidegger (Green10) as well as Carlotta Besozzi (CSE) will also be intervening in the discussion of how CSO’s can contribute in the CoFoE and feed into the conference’s outcomes.
This FRP webinar will discuss:
- What is the Conference on the Future of Europe?
- What will happen with the outcomes?
- How can civil society organizations contribute and bring their issues?
- What is the Civil Society Convention and how to get involved?**
**The Civil Society Convention on the Future of Europe is a platform of over 80 civil society organizations (CSOs) advocating for an ambitious Conference that considers citizens’ voices and is accompanied by concrete legislation and policy recommendations, including treaty change if necessary. Members of the platform have been allocated 5 seats in the CoFoE Plenary (out of a total of 8 for civil society).
