On May 21st 2026, we co-organised with CONCORD Europe and the European Civic Forum the event “Civil Dialogue in Practice: Bridging EU Frameworks and National Realities”. This was a gathering and discussion to underline the importance of structured, continuous, and meaningful dialogue between public authorities and civil society organisations.
Representatives from civil society organisations from 13 member states participated in the meeting, assessing the state of civil dialogue in their national contexts and exploring how the EU Strategy for Civil Society can help strengthen engagement in national policy making.
Recommendations were then shared and discussed with Rosalba Striani, Acting Head of Unit of Fundamental Rights Policy and Free Movement, from DG JUST at the European Commission.
