“Civil Society for EU” Campaign and Civil Society Strategy

We continued implementing the EU elections campaign Civil Society for EU (CS4EU), launched in 2023 along with one of our members, the Social Platform. In the post-election phase, we met with 30+ of the newly elected MEPs to consolidate relationships and pitch the creation of a new European Parliament Interest Group on Civil Society, which was officially launched in October 2025.

The campaign delivered a number of concrete policy outcomes, including the appointment of two European Parliament Vice-Presidents responsible for relations with civil society and the inclusion of a Civil Society Strategy in the Commission’s 2025 Work Programme. It also led to the creation of an Interest Group on Civil Society in the European Parliament, bringing together MEPs committed to defend and support the key role civil society plays in European societies
