The General Assembly consists of one delegate from each member organisation. It meets once a year, and adopts a work programme, budget, and accounts.

The General Assembly is also the opportunity for Policy exchanges with decision makers.

Guests to these debates have included the Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, the European Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly, the members of the European Parliament AFCO Committee working Group on the Conference on the Future of Europe: Ms Bischoff, Mr Verhofstadt, Mr Rangel, Mr Freund and Mr Scholz.

Besides, the General Assembly elects a Steering Committee every two years, composed by nine members, who elect within themselves the President and Treasurer.

The Steering Committee supervises the operations of different Working Groups and Task Forces.
