Civil Society State of the Union public launch

29 August 20231 September 2023 Carla PimentelConference on the Future of Europe, Event

On Wednesday 6th September 2023, Civil Society Europe will publicly launch its Civil Society State of the Union report (CS SOTEU 2023).

After months of hard work, we will present this joint report which comprises our vision and key recommendations as civil society for a more democratic and socially and environmentally just European Union.

The CS SOTEU 2023 report, addressed to EU institutions and EU Member States, has been produced by Civil Society Europe (CSE)’s Working Group on the CS SOTEU, a WG that is following up on the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE) and supporting civil society and citizens’ participation in EU democracy.

Altogether, 43 independent European networks of civil society organisations (CSOs) specialised in different sectors contributed to this report.

The report will be publicly launched and presented on Wednesday 6 September 2023 in Brussels and online, from 16:00 to 17:00 (CET). This will be followed by a networking reception until 18:30. You can sign up to attent the event here and view the draft agenda here.

We hope you will join us in person or online!
