Civil Society Europe is highly concerned about the legal procedures that have started in Bulgaria on the de-registration of the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee.

The motivation presented for such action are not consistent with the preservation of civic freedoms and produce a chilling effect on the whole civil society sector in Hungary.

We call the responsible party on withdrawing such proposal. We also invite Bulgarian authorities on stregthening a structured dialogue with civil society organisations.
