This document aims to answer key questions, raised in discussions with some Member States, about the proposal for a Directive on European Cross-Border Associations (ECBA) proposed by the European Commission, as well as the European Parliament legislative resolution on the proposed Directive which was adopted in its first reading. To do so, it provides a factual understanding of the ECBA Directive from the perspective of civil society actors.

Law Report
This document presents the civil society contribution on civic space to the 2024 Annual Rule of Law Report, analyses cross-country trends on civic space in the EU and proposes priority country-specific recommendations (CSRs) for most EU Member States. This paper was prepared together with the members of CSE’s Working Group on Civic Space and Fundamental Rights.

EnTrust Integrated policy paper
The Integrated Policy Paper aims to present the policy recommendations stemming from the research streams explored by the EnTrust project. The document is based on the findings and recommendations presented in the project’s seven European Policy Briefs (PBs), built on the team’s research and enriched by roundtable discussions with stakeholders. The paper gives a holistic overview of the findings of the EnTrust research as presented in the PBs, and then provides twelve overarching recommendations stemming from them.
