At the start of the new policy cycle, Civil Society Europe and Social Platform are organising ‘Civic Pulse’, a networking event bringing together MEPs and EU civil society to exchange on how to foster collaboration between policy makers and civil society and discuss the establishment of an interest group on civil society.
When: Tuesday 19 November 2024, h 18:00 – 20.00.
Where: European Parliament, Brussels, Culina Mundi Event Area (SPINELLI Zone E)
During the past months, over 100 elected MEPs and political leaders committed to striving for the EU to better recognise, safeguard, support and engage with civil society through signing the Civil Society for EU (CS4EU) campaign pledge. Meanwhile, EP President Roberta Metsola tasked Vice-Presidents Katarina Barley and Nicolae Ștefănuță with relations with European civil society organisations.
This event, co-hosted by EP VP Katarina Barley (S&D), offers a unique platform to connect key representatives of EU civil society with MEPs, APAs and political group advisors to exchange on key issues related to civil society.
Starting with a policy debate, the event will be followed by an informal networking reception with food and drinks. You can read the programme here.
